The following are some of the ways I have served the Lord: My wife and I have served as missionaries in the Middle East for 29 years. I have served as a MemberCare/Biblical Counseling Pastor and Celebrate Recovery Pastor at a church in Texas and a church in Kentucky for the past 15 years. And, I have worked in our communities as a Police Chaplain/Crisis Responder at 3 departments since 2002.
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at age 13. After high school, I joined the US Navy for 4 years and during that time I walked away from my faith-walk. It was a dark and lonely time. Upon my discharge I renewed my walk with Jesus and I met and married Bev, my wife.
My educational journey began at the University of Cincinnati. I transferred to Georgetown College, Ky, and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree there. Next, I completed my Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Care at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. My Doctorate of Ministry was from Eastern Baptist Seminary with a focus on Marriage and Family.
As I said, I am the Pastor over Celebrate Recovery at our church in Kentucky. I’ve been involved in leading the recovery ministry of our church for 14 years. Personally, I have struggled with codependency, pride and control. Through CR, I have found victory in those struggle areas, and I have allowed the Lord to work on those areas as I submit my life and control to Him daily.
